Summer Employee Brand Video + Recruiting Content Capture

Scope / Goal / Challenge

Very few companies offer an experience of a lifetime, not only to it’s guests, but to it’s employees as well. Vail Resorts does just that. To capture the essence of what it’s like to enjoy the Vail Resorts lifestyle as an employee was a welcomed challenge and one that we, as a company, could naturally relate to. To live and work in some of the most pristine mountain destinations in the world is a dream for the brave, ambitious and passionate employees at Vail Resorts.

The main goal was to capture and highlight the true meaning of what it’s like to be a Vail Resorts employee. The content captured and the stories uncovered would be utilized across multiple platforms as an integral piece of Vail Resorts international recruitment marketing strategy.

Approach / Strategy

In order to truly showcase what it’s like to be a Vail Resorts employee we knew we had to completely immerse ourselves in the action. To do so, we had to get to the source of all the smiles, joys and adventures that the Vail Resorts employee had the opportunity of sharing with his/her co-workers. We hopped on a few flights and road-tripped to 8 different resorts within the mountain region of the U.S. to see life through the eyes of 20 different employees with diversified backgrounds and job duties. After only our first few interactions with Vail Resorts passionate employees we knew we struck gold. Over the course of 2 summer months we captured endless magical moments and stories that are now shared across the world with the Vail Resorts communities and those who desire to join in.

Vail Resorts Meetings and Events

Scope / Goal / Challenge

Let’s face it, most corporate outings and conferences have always been overwhelmingly stale and boring. Vail Resorts, however, has completely reimagined that experience and has taken an approach to meetings that aligns with their overarching motto of “An Experience of a Lifetime”. The Outside Collective was tasked with producing, shooting and delivering multiple video spots that could be used within Vail Resorts B2B marketing efforts to drive new businesses to the mountains to host their corporate outings and meetings.

Approach / Strategy

Our inspiration for this project was driven by the notion that new perspectives offer boundless opportunities to ignite creativity and drive powerful imagination. With that in mind we wanted to take viewers on a journey through Vail Resorts various meeting offerings. We focused heavily on capturing breathtaking imagery that could tell the story and could help companies envision what it’d be like to host a meeting in the mountains.
