The Outside Collective was excited about the opportunity to work with Taos Ski Valley because of their commitment to sustainability. In 2017, Taos Ski Valley became the world’s first B Corp ski resort.The B Corporation designation validates Taos Ski Valley’s long-held values of inclusion, sustainability and respect for all. B Corp status is a commitment to our continued pursuit of business practices that are environmentally friendly and which promote more resilient and robust local communities. Taos Ski Valley believes the entire outdoor industry will continue to thrive by being stewards of the planet for future generations.

Challenge

Taos Ski Valley was in the midst of a $300m revitalization project to improve the resort. Part of the project was video, photo, and aerial content. The Outside Collective partnered with Origin Outside, a creative marketing agency, to produce content that was used in a variety of creative executions from digital advertising, YouTube video, social media, and email campaigns.

Approach

To truly capture the spirit of Taos, The Outside Collective took a much more natural method in filming and collecting audio. Our goal was to maintain an organic look and compliment the stillness and charm of Taos, while still showcasing their progressive developments. To do this, we used video and audio in an intimate interview setting and drone videography to illustrate the striking landscapes.
